If you guys are too stupid to find a way to silently get the track then it's your failing. That's all I'm going to say.

PTH = Dragonforce 2.0 for emo kids minus the Steve Perry and + the gayness, if that's even possible.

I like how Steve Perry was thrown in for no apparent reason.

The guy in Dragonforce sounds like Steve Perry. Only like way more metaller and stuff. Besides, the post was a joke and no I'm not trying. PTH aren't horrible at all but they are a band far away from a 5 at any rate just yet. Maybe another album or two and they might be great. Once that guy's balls drop and they get their penises enlarged to compensate for their zomgpeeptheseskillz cockrock solos they'll be unstoppable.

He sings in a high range he must not have hit puberty yet. What's that, guitar leads? OMG THEY ARE COMPENSATING.

This isn't a 5, but I rated it as such for personal reasons. You should get over that.

I'm quite over that chief, so please don't lose sleep rechecking your thread. I was just voicing my own opinion on the band which, awesomely, doesn't have to agree with yours so don't get your silk Kezia boxers in a bunch.

They are a quite talented band that needs some maturity, less obvious masturbation on the guitar, and good taste in general. Oh yeah and his voice can be just whiny and over the top, which kills it sometimes. Hence, my distaste with the circle-jerk/fellatio of this album and band in general.

You were voicing your opinion in a totally unnecessary way. You don't have to try to be some witty jackass, and you dont have to make personal attacks on me, either.

We're discussing the band, it's much more appropriate than your unfounded comparisons and severe inability to make them funny.

If you had valid points, which you seem to (but they're layered in fourth grade humour) that would be super. But you come off like a little twat throwing a tantrum because some people seem to like them a lot more than you. Get over it.

Keep working at the insults though, you're almost there. Maybe soon someone like DFelon will come in and give you the acceptance you so desperately desire. Hell, one day you might even make a joke that's actually funny. This Message Edited On 12.17.07

w/e dude. I was being a jackass in response to your snooty "you should get over

that" comment which made you come off as a jackass yourself. I think you just get

defensive anytime someone disses your favorite album. And please if you take my

comments as personal attacks you need to relax a bit, I think you'll be just fine. LOL

even if I wasn't taking the piss and being completely serious, we all know how this

schtick goes... if I'm not agreeing with the people that are giving the album a blowie

(who inherently inhabit this thread frequently), then I'm "not contributing to the

discussion" lol. I mean it is fun to read "wow this album rocks" "I know dude lol"

seven times in a row but still. Read my sound off if you want my more detailed

analysis. And please remove that stick. This Message Edited On 12.17.07

It has nothing to do with complacency. It's a matter of maturity and an actual point. You know you felt like hot shit making your stupid "lol they're like Dragonforce for emo kids" observation, you're just frenzying because I called you on it. You want to discuss what you see as flaws then I am up for it. But don't expect to use petty half-witted insults to try and impress god knows who. And I'd consider "Kezia boxers" and the like to be a form of ad hominem.

Also: This is not a 5 for me musically. Musically it bridges somewhere in the 4-4.5 section. As said, personal reasons push it above.

It has its faults: the bass is inconsistently audible, for instance, and Rody's vocal intonation is awkward and, in the way it is layered, comes off as whiny and at times grating. Beyond that, Moe's kicks sound terrible. The three biggest faults, as you'll see, are related to production.

On the songwriting front, certain aspects were rushed and it shows. The band did, at times, resort to cop-out reliances on their ability to write a catchy hook.

Furthermore, I have to address this ridiculous notion of them being pretentious. They had high ambitions with this and, in the end, fell a little short. Regardless, separating it as such and taking on the ideas they did was not a matter of ego, but ambition. They felt, and continue to feel, that there is just reason to try and put more weight on the music by organizing it as more than a sequential 12345678910 track list.

In the end it can come off as excessive, and the guitar dubbing does overdo itself at times, but the excess is a welcomed addition and merely a reflection of the band's interests being melted into one (into wedding baaaaands). At times they get a little broadway, and that's most certainly the point.

And for the record: I was not "losing sleep" over this. I was doing some work online for my father, occasionally checking the review site and forums. My ability to multitask is not relevant to your hatred of the "circle jerk", whereas your inability to form a coherent complaint in your recent posts is entirely relevant. Just because there's latent fanboyism and some sheep herding around the review does not entitle you to exaggerate and pull threads to contrast it. If you have a point it will be addressed and discussed. For someone your age, you'd think this would be obvious. This Message Edited On 12.17.07

you fail.

this may come as a surprise to you but, shock horror, it is in fact possible to post an opinion that could be respected for what it is without having to make miserable attempts at derogatory humour and boasting a laughable superiority complex attitude.

plus, it helps to actually have a point.

I normally don't like whiny singing, but I don't find him whiny at all. I find like Panic! a bit whiny at times but Rody is completely different in that he actually has a LOT of talent and promise as a vocalist. His harsh vocals need a little work, but other than that, this album is incredible.

Agree completely with the above point. If Rody improved his vocals, this album would probably be a classic for me. Not to say his vocals are bad but at times, they could be better.

His vocals are already improved tenfold on what I've heard from Fortress. It's just the way they were produced, harmonised and mixed on Kezia that make it awkward. They went a little overboard: rookie mistakes. Gotta remember they were 19.
