I really enjoyed MPP, so I picked up this album. Try as might, I just can’t seem to get into this one.

This has five of my favorite AC songs, as good or better than the best of Strawberry Jam and Merriweather, which are both 5 for me, but Feels also has four songs I prefer I never hear again. I don't dig their tuneless stuff at all. I was going to go 4.5, but that doesn't seem right when I only like 60% of the album. OTOH, the 60% is pretty much as transcendent as music can get. It has as high a slugging percentage as a 4.5, but lower batting average. Same with Sung Tongs.

I'm pretty sure you mean Bees, Flesh Canoe, Loch Raven, and Daffy Duck. I admit that I rarely listen to these tracks individually but for the sake of the full album experience they play their part perfectly.

That's them. The experience is greatly enhanced for me by skipping them. Thirty perfect minutes instead of making it fifty by mixing in twenty that just drag (only my opinion, I know). The resulting transitions still work great, and I’ve saved twenty minutes that I can use to listen to Water Curses or something.

And I just want to say I love this site. I should’ve known there’d be an imdb type site for music rating and discussion, I just never bothered to look. One thing I can’t figure out, is there some sort of index that bumps these album review threads with new replies?

ETA: Okay, I see the New Posts box on the genre front pages, but is there something that goes past the 16 most recent?

They're more like unlistenable to me, dude. Surely you can't seriously say you like those four better than The Purple Bottle.
