Wes really is the ONLY good thing here.

this is wes' weakest bizkit performance and it's still good so assuredly not

True, still the best thing here though.

“Wes is the only good part of bizkit” is such a cold ass take. Rivers and Otto are just as talented and fairly innovative too, and Fred is a consummate showman.

Fred is the reason this band is laughed at. His lyrics are cringe and the way he acts is even more cringe. Bassist is alright but without Wes what do they have? Some turntables and a nice bass line?

Fred is a persona - one that sold extremely well. Their philosophy was always any publicity is good publicity. This band would not have sold with another frontman.

Fred IS Limp Bizkit.

That is a fair take. Still to me he is the reason these dudes are laughed at more then not. Any publicity is good I guess even when you are the butt of all jokes. dudes way more successful the me so what do I know lol. I just love Wes.

Being laughed at is only a negative when you take everything seriously - which bizkit do not. They’re in on the joke.

I don't know. this album isn't very joky to me. Break Stuff doesn't seem like a parody of bad heavy music. 100% Fred is on the joke, just look at him how could he not be.

I like "Just Like This" and "I'm Broke".
Just something about the spacy atmosphere in both of them. Wes Borland/DJ Lethal compliment each other well.
Durst has always been cringe, but it works here and I wouldn't have it any other way, except maybe an instrumental version of this album (that'd also be cool)

Even if its a persona, it doesn't change he brings down almost everything they did pre-2005. Unquestionable Truth is unironically really good, Gold Cobra I've heard mixed things, and Still Sucks was good even if it was a completely ironic way. But just go listen to Results May Vary and you can see why Durst brings down their early stuff so much.

1999 was a bizarre year for music as a whole

Nine teen ninety nine was the pinnacle of human civilisation in terms of both the year and in terms of that riff
