ok probably not to everyones taste, but to really like it i think maybe you have to like and understand Lou Reed and all the music he's made since Velvet Underground. i love him. i also like Metallica and laodsa heavy stuff and i was still quite apprehensive about it myself on how it would be. i think it's brilliant. difficult but brilliant. i also think to bring 'Lulu' into this collaberation must have been very difficult and they've done a good job. Lou was always into serious literature and to bring such an old play into hard rock is a great achievment in itself. ok so maybe you just don't like it but if it's really bothering you that much it might be an idea to find out about the character 'Lulu' and the plays 'Earth Spirit' and 'Pandoras Box' which together are called the 'Lulu plays'. then give the album another listen and you just might see what a geniesarse Lou Reed is and understand what he has done with it.
