everyone around here seems to agree that Get Warmer is amongst their weaker efforts.

idk what it is about that record but I love it. maybe because around the time it was released, I was big into skateboarding and I would sit around all winter and just look outside and pout until the day that it was 25 degrees and not snowing and the street was dry enough to skate for 15 minutes until you'd snap your hardware because of the cold (Buffalo NY, it's a good life). And then jeff puts out a whole record about springtime and warm weather and moving on and starting over and I was just completely captivated. And I mean c'mon, with Ruth, Breadsticks, Bike Test, I don't love you anymore.... dude that record just rules. haha



and that paragraph right there is a whole lot of shinfo so you really shouldn't feel obligated to read it haha

i read it. i know what you mean. i live in massachusetts/connecticut so i know that feeling of wishing it was warmer

and i really really fucking love Get Warmer don't get me wrong, it's just compared to everything else it's just not quite as good

but yeah no rest for the whiny, get warmer and i don't love you anymore are among my fav btmi songs

I think it pales in comparison to so much of the other material he put out, though I do know what you're saying... some of his AMB antics are like the quintessential BtMI

interesting. I heard the original just once and I liked the toned down, almost cute-sy jeff version better.



harvey danger seemed like a real cool bunch though, I just never made much of an effort to get into them.

parts of this are incredible and parts are slightly underwhelming for me

but i definitely couldn't have seen them going in any other direction

hmm, I guess maybe I'd say that I'm not surprised that they went in this direction, but knowing Jeff I kind of didn't at all know what to expect and wouldn't have been too thrown off if they decided to almost resurrect the Album Minus Band or do something wacky like that.
