Ok you 2, slow down.

Parades = 4.65

Foals = 4.35

Gap is quite clear actually. It's a Pitchfork 9.3 against Pitchfork 8.7.

Parades are practically unheard of even down under. I'm serious. Only keen music followers would know who they are.

It turns out that Parades are actually supporting Passion Pit tonight in Sydney lol. Having consumed beer, you'd be surprised how similar the names 'Passion Pit' and 'Birds of Tokyo' sound. Apologies for the false hopes.

Dunpeal, they aren't recs. That's some automatically generated stuff the site does which is almost best off ignoring. My recs are above that in the 'Recommended by Reviewer' section.

Edwin, first let me say that I mentioned they were supporting Passion Pit a few pages back. Now let me also mention that I'm gonna string both you & your mate up. ;-)

LG, I'm unsure they have ever left Australia tbh. I'm sure it will come in the future though.

Thanks RForster. And I totally agree with your comments.

Hey, Davey nice review. I'm really liking this band's sound. Does the drummer's solo album sort of have the same feel to it?

Thanks cbd.

Boulet's self-titled has the same type of rhythms & drumming... The sound is a lot more, umm, earthy though. Hard to put into words. It's not folky, but it has that kind of raw, earthy feel to it. It also has less layers to it than Parades. I really like the highlights on it (A Community Sevice Announcement & Ones Who Fly, Twos Who Die), but I don't think it has the depth of this Parades album. I definitely recommend giving it a listen.
