I can get why someone may prefer overall, the Ozzy era over Dio's, but I can't understand how someone might prefer Vol. 4 over MR or H&H

I prefer the style of it and the standout tracks are better. Compare the top 4 songs from Vol. 4 to the top 4 on Heaven and Hell and Vol. 4 comes out on top easily.
