I'm re-rating this album to a 5. I can listen to the album over and over and over and over again. Esp in times where life is pure shit, this album delivers all sortsa hope. AND Marcus's voice... mm. Love it.

Nah, it's cool. =)
It's his own opinion and if it had that effect on him; it obviously did something right.

Now excuse me, I need to wash my hands of blood.

When their second album hits; comparisons between it and Helplessness Blues will shoot from all directions.

Personally; they (M&S) sound more like Frontier Ruckus than Fleet Foxes but there you go. =)

Uplifting... Helplessness blues.

(Davey stops & thinks for a while before deciding whether to get Stephen going again)

And that's why the comparison between the 2 bands should be fleeting. Yeah, they may be roughly playing the same genre, but their objectives are arguably far apart. It's like comparing Ke$ha to Katy B, Lil Wayne to Wu Tang or Led Zeppelin to Motley Crue.

You're right. The only comparison I can draw is the harmonies but their objectives in terms of lyrical content are totally different.

I think we are now in agreement (not that we always haven't been... apart from rating). End Thread.

For those who hate this album so much, masturbate to this:

I enjoyed this but it is fairly shallow, of course this is the big-titted blonde of shallow.

Yeah, but P4K hating it almost makes me like it more.

Mumford & Sons: Folk's big-titted blonde (without a big-titted blonde).

this band kinda bothers me

That one huge song by them I don't like. it just seems like watered-down folk with pop sensibilities
