Giving it my first listen, don't mind the sound of the guitars but I really wish the drums were louder. Musically it's great as always.

Just finished, I got used to the drums and honestly by the end couldn't really see it any other way. Fantastic black metal album, still more of a Bergtatt kind of guy but this riffs much harder.

Well I've never jammed this, just going by what I hear from seasoned bm listeners and the review.

Give the opener a shot:

It's jarring at first but keep going past the initial shock and it really isn't that bad. It's got some sweet riffs

30 seconds is all you need to give it until you get used to it

if you think of raw production as a downside, just don't listen to black metal at all

Production on stuff like Paysage D'Hiver is worse than this and people don't make a big deal about that

Hmm that's not too bad but it does kinda bother me I can barely hear the drums. Guitar riffs are pretty awesome though. Also raw production is almost never a flaw to me as long as the music is good. So when I get to this album maybe it'll be a grower who knows?

Ummmm, I don't have an opinion on it. I'm saying judging by the first track it will probably take me time to get into it. But like

myself and Max said you'll never know until you try it so no need to give me shit.
