on the contrary, this brutally molests boxer then dumps its body in a ditch, suavely.

i honestly can't see what boxer has that this doesn't. i mean, the first 3 songs on it are amazing, then it kinda tails off for me with the exception of Slow Show

well boxer is much slower, but lyrically it's my favorite of theirs and its connected with me on many different levels. When it comes to modern indie stuff I'm very picky, but idk after a while I fell in love with their music, and the relatable story theyve told across three albums now.

fair enough. I actually used to prefer Boxer over this by a mile, but now it's my favorite national
for sure. All their last three are classy as hell though

I consider both of these masterpieces, maybe I'm just a fanboy. they are the only band that I have two 5's for and I just love everything about everything that they do.

why so much love for the national? really enjoying high violet but all of the national songs kind of lack any kind of diversity and the only great musician seems to be the drummer. have only listened to this and high violet so far tho

that may be it. but tbh, in the last hour since i wrote that comment i listened to the album again and it's growing on me. even while not yet understanding what's so great about it, i've listened to it 4 times since yesterday evening. really do like high violet tho, bloodbuzz ohio has been stuck in my head

That was my problem. They really clicked after a year
