Agreed. This is a quality album.

I agree too, though Messengers is slightly higher for me
|

Messengers has more emotional value for me but this is clearly the better record.

Messengers was my first "heavy" album (Underoath didn't count) but for some reason, I don't like it much anymore.

I think Constellations has some better songs on it than Messengers but as a whole Messengers wins with me every time
|
| |
the literal sound that comes from Messengers almost chops my head off; the treble is unbelievably high.

Taxi Driver is my favorite movie of all time; so much so that I wrote 3 different papers on it in college. In any case, I agree with whoever commented that the treble on Messengers is ridiculously high -- that's my main qualm with that record. This one might be superior, but those breakdowns on Messengers get me every time. Also the fact that it's a slightly more "sentimental" record for me..

I prefer it a little bit louder, just me maybe.
I'm a product of the loudness war
|
| |
even the new Oh Sleeper has that terrible treble. it's a good cd, but it's too darn loud.

it's not that it's too loud for me, more that the balance just isn't there. I feel like it's shredding my speakers and my ear drums simultaneously.
|
| |
but it's the treble, right?
yes, maybe "loud" wasn't the best word to use, but the treble is just overbearing.
