Ok yeah Autumn is so much different than this, but it works out so well. Pretty much does away with the ambience and opts for more of a post rock influence and a lot of clean and female vox, but still plenty of bm and very atmospheric.
While this will always remain one of my fav bm albums, the new one is a major progression of his sound and pretty much exactly what I was hoping for and more.

he said in an interview that he is doing another album after Autumn called Winter. I wonder how that will compare to Melancholie.
I agree with you hawks, autumn is great and it did live up to my expectations. It will be interesting to see how my opinion of the album changes over time.
