still remember 2009 performance of A I A shit before it came out. former staffer adam downer shit on her performance opening for animal collective so I was afraid but shit banged--you could walk around the room and feel enveloped in sound and hear different tones and inflections of her voice based on where you were relative to the speakers. damn
this album gets a little muddy for me but when it hits, especially toward the beginning and the last song, oof
