I saw that article, but I've only ever checked out a few of their songs. What's your favorite album of theirs?

Tyrant is def superior over their debut IMO

It's a good example of technicality that is simultaneously in-your-face but also not overbearing (ex. Rings of Saturn, even tho I fucking love those guys)

Goes through normal dxc cliches but it doesn't detract from the experience like you might think.

Cool, I'll check it out. I too digs Rings of Saturn. I got to see them open for the final AGATG tour in a tiny venue and it was sick. The vocalist is way better and more varied live and they didn't fuck up at all.

The whole 'controversy' of them not being able to play live was (pre sure) just bullshit spread by an ex-guitarist. Watch any live video and you can see they got it.

Vocalist is one of their strong points.

If you like excessive technicality/heaviness check Genocide of Prescription and Hedonistic Exility

I miss Mitch's intensity in his vocals, he really was such a beast

Yeah, this pushed me into heavier shit. I was mostly into metalcore and some 'screamo' before this.

I always just say that this is standard deathcore done well. Nothing that's blowing my mind, but it's still pretty solid

My god this is awful. Made it halfway through and had to change it before I threw my stereo through the living room window.

Idk, I don't think it's that bad. It's definitely heaviness over substance, but sometimes a straight shot of brutality is all you need

I blasted the fuck out of this the other day. I wish I liked any of their other albums as much as this one.

May have to, it resonates with me more and more the older I get lmao

I like Black Crown a lot too tbh, and No Time To Bleed has my favorite song of theirs which is Lifted

Black Crown lost me. I didn't care for it at all. Started getting polished an less brutal. The appeal of the band from the beginning was their rawness and they started to step away from it starting with that album.
