He did an amazing high scream live that was like... 30 seconds long. It was incredible. His vocals live were amazing imo, definitely nothing to scoff at.

I still don't get why people are turned off by his vocals, especially now. His live performance has gotten so much better recently, both clean and screaming vocals. And Tommy can command a crowd with the best of them without all the bullshit talking and tough guy attitudes.

And I don't think you can argue against this being their best album. I know it's an opinion, but they just took everything to another level.

I personally despise his vocals. I mean they aren't bad, but I just can't stand them. I see where people like them, but I personally don't. The reason this is such a high rating for me is the musicianship. I tone out the vocals to listen to the music.

That and Ants of the Sky are the only songs I listen to off of this anymore. I got it for $9 and those two songs are worth that price alone.

And yes, those two songs are good enough to warrant a 3.5 from me. This Message Edited On 06.19.08

I know...seriously not a bad song on this. the second song is the only song I would even think of skiping, but i never do being the intro to it that was lead from the first is soo good.

I thought this album includes some of their best works. I really do like it! It has some of my favourite tracks by them on. Awesome. Great review too

if i love Alaska, will i like this album?
they always seem to add amazing interesting parts to each of their songs... and the long heavy riffs (like in "Backwards Marathon" from Alaska) are really catchy, despite the heaviness.

It's a bit different in terms of how they approach the writing, but that's probably because it's like one huge song the whole time, but you'll probably like it.

Besides their gay genre hopping!

The quirkiness wears thin and really interferes with the amazing parts.

no it makes it interesting...its like sex, you can't do the same thing over and over, you have to try new things that make it better...duh

That Mr. Bungle part in "sun of Nothing" is so awesome, I just wait for it the whole song
