Best scenecore album of all time? I go back to a lot of music I listened to from like 2006-2012 and cringe, but I never do with this. This is just a genuinely great album regardless of how emo or scene or hot topic-ish it is. This shit eternally slaps and the lyrics are great too. This is one of probably 5 albums that compelled me to start making my own music (albeit many years later). TDWP, La Dispute, and Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) are probably the three most instrumental bands in making me aspire to create music.

This is the album that got me into this type of music in 2007. Roots is great too but this album has this beautiful yet eerie atmosphere that sets it apart from anything else in the genre, the way it utilizes clean vocals for emotional effect and atmosphere rather than generic anthemic choruses is really special.

Going to jam this again tonight for the first time in over a decade, was one of my go-to's waaaay back in the day. I was of course one of those kids stoked to see them at warped tour after this release. Teenage me thought they slayed.
