I dont even like Arch Enemy KILL but you cant deny how much better Melodeath is than Grind as far as making that paypa

goes. So yea its no wonder why they formed Arch Enemy. Theres a reason melodeath is more popular than death metal

too. The human ear is attracted to melody. Thats why every pop song in history has it. Without melody, some

understandable vox, or atmosphere to me (aka death metal or grind) the music just sounds bland. Melodeath has more

diversity in that regard.

I can cite hundreds of particular melodeath riffs but when I listen to Cryptopsy all the songs, lyrics, and riffs just run

together. Shit might be technical as hell and "heavier" but its no wonder why only a small pocket of the world listen to

them while In Flames, Amon Amarth, Insomnium, Bodom, Dark Tranquility, etc get millions of views. Not sayin that more

views = better but its obvious why its more popular. So yea a good business decision for Carcass lol.

Amott. Silly me.

And yea Melodeath > you. Obviously some of it sucks and its become overexposed as with any popular genre but theres a reason so many bands have been influenced by this stuff while grind bands play in smelly basements in bumblefuck nebraska. I know its trendy to hate on things with more than 7 fans on this site though.

Grind is irrelevant. 999/1000 people wont even know what it is. Melodeath has influenced all of the biggest metal bands today. More important my butt.
