I think I like it less after jimmybreeze but I’ll def listen again at some point. Doseone’s album as subtle has this song “middleclass stomp” that is mandatory

This is like a 2 or a 5 depending on day and mood. Doseone masticates words like they’re dental moulds.

Yeah okay I love this again

kind of wack how quiet the Deep Puddle Dynamics - The Taste of Rain...Why Kneel? album thread is in comparison. Doseone and friends turned every white boy who heard into a fantano with that one. highly rec if you're on an experimental hip-hop beat

the real thread that deserves a bump is The Dynospectrum. Slug was on a crazy run with supergroups for a while there

oh yeah I remember that one, thought it had way more votes! crazy good

picked this up on vinyl recently, jammed it last night and feel like i appreciate it on a whole other level now. i could make out the lyrics a lot more easily. and the way Dose and Yoni sometimes rap different verses at the same time actually clicked i feel like. that was something that was always a bit jarring for me, but on vinyl it was easier to separate the two and appreciate the overall painterly effect of it.
this is a very painterly album. truly wild how they use words to that effect. the way their sentences pop up from the ether and float through your field of vision like little breaths of wind. and the words themselves are as mysterious as they are whimsically vivid. truly a one-of-a-kind album.
i think i just wrote a soundoff
