Why are we still talking about the allegations? The music is good yes? So who gives a fuck?

“Same. But TDAG is very, very close.”

Yeah these two easily tie as my favourites, but there’s always been something about Science Fiction that give it’s the edge.

i’d be happy with them coming back, and i think if they came back with some tact and sensitivity towards the issue, it could play over just fine. but i feel like this has affected jesse and the guys on a really deep level and they’re not comfortable coming back even if a lotta ppl are over it.

'Last night I watched some footage from my first and only BN show, approximately two weeks before they disappeared forever. God damn it was magical. I would’ve hated myself forever if I didn’t make that drive to Detroit'
Dude I was at that show, too. Nice.

Knowing Jesse I'd wager they're done. From what I've heard it's had a huge impact on his wife and children and I think he's simply done with this shit.

@tectactoe as I typed that, I wondered if you were there since that's kinda your territory haha.

The way Lit Me Up shook the theater right after "when I grow up, I wanna be a heretic" still gives me goosebumps.

Yeah it was a damn good show. I was actually with my wife and some friends and we were standing in line at, like, 7:20 p.m. to get drinks, thinking for sure that we'd have some time because there would probably be a warm up band or something (we got there a few minutes after 7 pm). As we were standing in the outer area all of a sudden I heard a loud warbling / white noise and I turned to my one buddy and said "that's fucking Lit Me Up, Brand New is coming out right now" and we bolted for our seats. Thank god, too, because once the song started "proper," the ushers weren't letting people walk through the aisles until it was over (lol). I would've died if I missed that song live.

How long did they play for? I've never and will probably never seen them live, which fucking blows.

Don't remember the exact amount of time, but I still have the set list in the Notes on my phone haha. Looks like they played 17 songs. So probably somewhere between an hour and a half and two hours if I had to guess.
I've seen them six times and that's pretty typical. The only time that was drastically different was their tour with Thrice (I think it was back in 2007) and they played, like, eleven or twelve songs only, most of them were from TD&G (which was new at the time). Awesome to see that album mostly live, obviously, but the short set list was unfortunate. I guess it was more of a "split" headlining with Thrice, though.

When I first saw them mewithoutyou opened for maybe 20-30 minutes, then thrice played close to an hour, then brand new was probably about an hour and a half. I saw them a few other times but don't remember the exact length of those sets.

That lineup was back in '07, before mwY took off in popularity. Yeah I was super lucky, still the best show I've seen by leaps and bounds.

yeah, mwY played mostly stuff from foxes and bs, thrice played most of their fire/water ep's with a few mixed in from vheissu/artist, and BN played a lot of TDAG with tons of other stuff mixed in since they had the primary time slot

I saw that tour, it was pretty good. Saw BN again sometime around Daisy, and they did some type of double set that night. Played a bunch of older songs the first half and then took a break and played a bunch of stuff off of daisy + you won’t know. Can’t remember the exact details since it’s been about 10 years
