I'm really surprised how much the album sounds like Lateralus. It's kind of like a lesser version of that album. I was expecting another 10k

This might be a bit pedantic by myself but I simply can't get behind fully deciding on how someone feels about a Tool record after 4/5 days of listening. If you don't like it fair enough, but most of the negative reception seems to be from people who were out to hate the record anyway or people who have reached a hasty conclusion.



Either the person has overplayed it wanting to love it more than they do or just simply have written the album off too soon it seems.



Tool are one of the only bands for me that truly live up to the cliché of being a 'grower' on repeated listens and actually improve after a reprieve of listening to their material.

Don't be too hopeful. It's just an ambience piece that was used for the video audio on the special edition.
