I'm curious how you think a track is complete trash on an album you have rated 5.0, and Faust Arp is awesome. It sounds a bit like an Elliott Smith song.

House of Cards is a beaut. Don't get all the negative feelings towards it at all.

Most songs on here evolve, have a massive build-up or have a significant change of tone at one point (like the Bodysnatchers bridge), and House of Cards doesn't have that at all and is comfortable with staying where it begins, which is why it may come across as unremarkable in comparison - but like I said, I think it's exactly what the album needs between Reckoners and Jigsaw.

Yeah another reason why I have this at a 5 is how well the album flows. Faust Arp and House of Cards are definitely well placed, and the album wouldn't flow as well without them.

This is one of those albums where the weaker songs only seem so because everything else is so goddamned incredible. I don't love "House of Cards", "Faust Arp", or "Jigsaw Falling into Place" quite as much as the rest here but I can't deny they'd be my favorite song almost any other album.

^ Evidence as well of the album's incredible quality, that one's least favorites can be another's faves!

The two first tracks are slightly weak compared to the rest of the album for me - if there's an issue anywhere it's there.

One of them should be a classic but neither quite fills that niche

TheSpaceMan is messing with us I think. I haven't heard any album that's perfect all the way through, even my top favorite by this very band, OK Computer (because of Fitter Happier).
