I like some ideas they toyed with, some of this has a psychedelic feel to it but its all drowned out and the more standard deftones sound here just doesn't sound as good. I also think this is Chino's weakest album performance.

I fucking love this album so much. Only song that sucks is Xenon and maybe Pittura. The rest is solid gold and better than Ohms.

Genuinely think Ohms is their best, nothing will change my mind.
This is also a bad Deftones album, aka a 3.5 so it's still pretty great.

Yeah, this is definitely one of their worst although it is better than Adrenaline for Prayers/Triangle alone.

Rubicon is so fun

True. Rubicon is probably the second best song here.

Better than Ohms [3]
Doomed User, and Gore pretty much shits on anything Ohms has to offer.

Error is better than both those songs fam
Honestly, Acid Hologram, Geometric Headdress, Hearts / Wires, Phantom Bride, and Rubicon are really the only tracks I come back to on this.

Next to Doomed User' excellent guitar work, and Gore' huge ending, I have to disagree.
Error is boring, forgettable, and goes absolutely nowhere.

I really find fascinating how utterly polarizing Ohms turned out considering it's basically just a by-the-numbers Deftones record. I know people who absolutely hate it, people who pan it, and people who for some reason say it's the best Deftones record in a long time. It's pretty perplexing. My main take away from Gore was the realization that I just don't care about Stephen Carpenter that much and I way prefer Chino's songwriting.
Error is good though, and it absolutely goes somewhere. That heavenly part at the end feels like a payoff but to each their own.
