The Word As Law over TEOES is a bold move and honestly I don’t hate it

Out of the 5 Neurosis albums I heard so far, only The Eye of Every Storm was meh, and I didn’t hear Souls at Zero yet. However, A Sun That Never Sets is perfection, with Times of Grace being close 2nd and this 3rd.

Good takes considering your journey is still in its infancy. You're on the right path.
ASTNS, TSIB & Souls are my top 3 (in that order) and TEOES was an early big hitter but I don't yearn for it much these days. In fact I barely listen to any of their material after ASTNS.

I still jam teoes and gttr as much as the others. I Can See You is most likely my favorite song of all time, if not #2 behind ISIS - Carry

Sonically-speaking, teoes is very accessible and pleasing upon the ears, at least by Neusosis standards. I find that the reward in repeated listens is the absolutely visceral pain and torment that the "accessible" sonic backdrop allows the emotional tone to present

Given To the Rising is my most frequent choice but in all fairness they have not made a bad album.
