Colony and Clayman are listenable, melodic death metal is still gay though.

I totally understand the hate that, say, As The Roots Undo gets, but I honestly don't understand why so many people hate this enough to give it a 2 or something. I mean I clearly am not in love with it like the rest of the people here but I don't get hating it. idk.

Jacob Bannon's vocals irritate me to the point where they stop me from enjoying the awesome instrumentation

so yeah, a 2

Amon Amarth and Ensiferum aren't and never were melodic death metal. (despite both not being THAT awesome and having gotten worse over the years)

Riffing, most notably similar to stuff At The Gates did, nowadays mostly synthesizers, cleans, maybe violins/piano/ect. Mostly clear production, focus on harmonics (or at least a harmonic/melodic guitar line). And so on.

I get the talent here, just not my thing. I like a cohesive melody in my music, and these guys don't seem to be about that. And I

REALLY don't like the vocals.

Autumn Leaves and Amon Amarth are good. Never heard Ensiferum. And any In Flames post Clayman is seriously gay.

And you all still like fish dicks.
