I get that but it would be like Phil and Rex getting back together and calling it Pantera… oh wait
This certainly has more legitimacy than that but at the end of the day it was Chuck’s show and he’s gone. I think them calling themselves “Death to All” and clearly labeling exactly what they’re doing (which members are back, what material they’re playing etc) is pretty much exactly what you’re supposed to do as tribute band. They seem like they’re very respectful to chucks legacy, but from Human on wasn’t literally every song written by Chuck alone? Idk that’s where it gets kinda tricky
I mean tbh, i don’t really give a shit, I’d still love to see them and I know Max is a good vocalist.

I feel like calling them a tribute band is a better way to describe what they’re doing but either way, there is no death without chuck on stage and I think everyone involved would agree with that.
what bands like gruesome are doing is far more embarrassing and problematic than playing cover shows in tribute.

yep, pretty much exactly how I feel.
Again, and I cannot stress this enough, I would love to see them if they came thru my neck of the woods. I cannot say the same for a bunch of cynical cash grab bands that are missing their most vital member(s).

At least they’re not touring as “Death”

That, and the fact that they seem to be doing it out of love and respect for the original band. I've never sensed a blatant cash grab with them, unlike a lot of other "revival" groups/lineups (looking at you, Pantera)

And that’s the other side of why I’m completely fine with it. They don’t at all overhype what they are. To me it’s like “hey, we were involved with these songs, we played on these records, come thru and have a good time”.

Neither my friends nor I were aware of them prior to the show they went to and we all assumed everyone would be most hyped for Gorguts but they were telling me more people were way more excited for and lost their minds to Death to All. To be fair, they are headlining the tour

I mean I don’t think they’re anything particularly special but he gets the job done and then some. Dude was a great lyricist too…

I like Chuck's vox on every album except this one. They sound a little rough here, but it doesn't ruin the music for me.
