Yeah a step for sure. Apparently the creative process was quite organic. No one was expecting it from him

Initially I was indifferent to the new album, but look at that, that bitch has won me over. It just flows so effortlessly, an hour passes by in a blink of an eye.

Pale Communion and Sorceress are highly uneven albums but never truly boring or downright bad. Mediocre? Yes, sometimes they are, but really, Opeth have some amazing songs on both albums (Eternal Rain Will Come, Faith in Others, Sorceress II, Strange Brew for instance)

Got any suggestions? Thought I'd do Katatonia, Anathema, Gazpacho and Rishloo next week.

Oh, yes, all of them are great. I don't know what kind of prog you like. Katatonia may sound a bit samey until you get used to their style, but they are quality band. I'd say for Katatonia, ''Viva Emptiness'' is a nice starting point. For Anathema, ''Alternative 4'' is top notch, 10/10 would depression again, but you can also check ''A Natural Disaster'', ''Judgement'' and ''Weather Systems''. Rishloo are more alt-prog, with Tool influences especially on their first two. ''Feathergun'' has some of the best vocals/guitar riffs/lyrics I've heard on prog.

I've heard all Katatonia, Gazpacho and Anathema already before. I've just been in a spacey kinda mood lately and prog is perfect for it.

Never listened to Rishloo before though.

What are your thoughts on Riverside, Pika? ADHD is amazing!

I haven't heard anything by them, Trif. Problem is half of their stuff isn't on Spotify. Will I be able to find the rest on youtube?

If you want more quality prog you've never heard before, check Mother of Millions (Sigma or Artefacts)
