I love Ulcy-poo but this album doesn't have as much variety as I usually expect from the band. Gotta admit that I dig new AB more than this too.

because I was being entirely serious... also people keep comparing them so why not? In fact I distinctly remember you mentioning Ulcerate when dropping your Infared review so... yeah (not sure if the review itself or just in the comments)

To clarify my earlier opinion (because that's what they are... opinions...), Ulcerate is my favorite dissodeath band. I just enjoy the 4 albums preceding this one more (EiF through SoP).
So with regards to albums of the last couple years, I'm enjoying newest AB more than newest Ulcerate.

I thoroughly prefer ulcerate over AB, but I still don't think that calling AB Ulcerate lite is adequate. The aesthetic approach of both is sooooo different. Ulcerate lite would imply that AB tries to use the same aesthetic approach like U, but only partly succeeds. And that is clearly not the case.
