"Just watched a YouTube clip of Zero Tolerance from the other night. I don’t know who that singer is but damn he’s a great match. Nailed the guitar parts as well. Impressive!"
Not sure if you're referring to Death To All, but last I checked, Max Phelps is the stand in for Chuck. He did an amazing job when I saw them for the TSOP tour

Damn I’d kill to see see TSOP live, Flesh and The Power It Holds is legit one of the best death metal songs ever made imo, Voice of the Soul is probably my favorite metal instrumental of all time (yes including the good Metallica ones), and Story To Tell is underrated as fuck.
Front to back it’s really probably my favorite Death record

Idk how hot of a take this is considering the sput avgs but Chuck went from being a great songwriter to being the fuckin GOAT after Spiritual Healing, their earlier shit is damn good obv but Human, Individual Thought Patterns, The Sound of Perseverance, and obv this are such a massive step up.
I really really wish he was still around, who knows what kind of masterpieces he’d be making in his old age. The Control Denied record is a pretty big step down but I was always under the impression that was more collaborative than Death ever was

Speaking of Chuck and Luc- Gorguts and Death to All are touring right now. My friends went and saw it and said Gorguts did a 45 min set including new songs and they got to meet and take pics with Luc and he said they’re done with all the demos for new record. And Death to All headlined playing a 2 hour set including all of Symbolic and material from every album. I’m an idiot for not going and saying “I’ll be tired at work the next day”

I did not realize Steve and Gene were in Death to All, I literally thought it was a cover band lmao.

And I would still call Death to All a cover band, the only way they could stop me from saying that is if they literally resurrected Chuck
They’re a cover band with bona fides, im not talking shit either, id love to see them tbh

Considering it’s alumni helps elevate it from a cover band imo
