Sometimes I wonder if we didnt know how good we had it pre 2010. Hessian Peel is probably the best song they've ever done, and Burden is indisputably an all time classic across genres, at least as far as ballads go.

nowhere near the same standard mind, in fact the stark contrast was even more keenly felt after revisiting this, but I can see why people feel this way

overall good show, venue was over-packed and the sound was eh but they sounded good regardless. godhead was a nice surprise and drapery too. not crazy about the new album so i wouldve been fine with just the first song from that, but i get they're still touring for it. also was hoping for something from watershed and maybe something different from ghost reveries

Thanks brother! Not a bad setlist but still too many of the same songs they play all the time. I'm with you on GR and watershed. Wish they'd play harlequin forest instead of always playing ghost of perdition and grand conjuration. Also im assuming you meant deliverance instead of damnation

I was about to say they always seem to play Deliverance and it not being present was novel in a way, but you may be correct here! I cannot imagine them closing with Damnation.
I would never personally yearn to hear Harlequin Forest but they should definitely mix it up a little. Godhead's Lament is a cool addition tho.
