Key word was most and Agalloch is still black metal, even if far from the typical.

This is a quite pleasent album, yet I still fail to understand all the hype around this band, really.

Then you fail period, jk man. But really, this band rules, they haven't put out an even slightly sub par album, including the new one.

Maybe further listenings will make me think otherwise. :P

This album reminds of Alcest at some points.

Backwards. Alcest was influenced by Agalloch so Alcest should remind you of Agalloch.

Metal is such an expansive genre i think it's hard to say that.

But it is one of the best releases of the past 100 years, on that i think we can all agree.

If there'd been an actual song in place of Fortress III (note that I do consider Bloodbirds to be a ridiculously appropriate closer) then I think this would be a very easy 5.

I may sound lame, but listening to this after A Blaze in the northern sky, is pure bliss to my ears.

I recommend the experience to everyone.
