I'm willing to bet a lot of money that this album will age better in the geberal public and the fanbase's consciousness than any of the other post-KNY albums. For some it will probably slot even above DE and KNY.

I think you’re right considering half the fanbase seems to hate Gore and that same half forgot Ohms exists.
I think it’s comfortably above DE but Koi will always be untouchable. Even the mid songs on that record are phenomenal. Rosemary into Goon Squad is goated and What Happened to You is a perfect closer.

I think Thom Yorke dies a little bit inside that he didn’t write What Happened To You. That song feels like it could be on In Rainbows to me and that’s a compliment. Easily top Deftones. That whole album is like a 6/5

Koi to me is just a far more adventurous Diamond Eyes… I feel similarly about Around the Fur to Adrenaline.
Still dig Diamond Eyes and maybe a simpler album is what they needed after all the drama with SNW and what happened to Chi, I very much see it as a transitional record.
