im sure during the height of my pop music rejection phase i would've been more negative towards the lighter sections but they aren't like TERRIBLE, just probably the weakest part of their sound to me when theyre not used to give an extra kick to the heavier bits - when they're standalone they aren't quite there on their own

""Poetry Metal" sounds cool, but I'm doubting this is it"

you just remeinded me of this girl on a course i was doing who tried to put king 810 on the aux and that was incredibly cringe especially considering we were just jamming leonard cohen and warren zevon and stuff

I find it hilarious how people point out a few lyrics and say that overall they are awful. Personally, I enjoy them and hearing Vessels inflection on certain words is a highlight. The self titled track is such a beautiful example of this.

Does anyone know if Vessel is the one that does the harsh vocals on Infinite Baths? Some say it is III.

Poetry metal sounds wild. All songwriting is poetry, is it not?

His lyrical content is awful and is delivery is usually weird. I still think its super weird the other band mates dont have mysterious names and just numbers for names

I think he is a talented vocalist, but I don't like his style/delivery very much. I think I know where you're coming from. I'm not too picky with vocals, though.

He inflicts too much, I guess is the best way I can describe it.

Vessel can sing, his voice is just annoying. And his inflections and pronunciations.

It’s one of those things where you either love his voice or hate it. No in between.

Like I find Carrie Underwood’s voice annoying. She can flat out sing. But it just grates on me

I could honestly levy this to someone like Isaac Wood too, that's a fair way to say it

I can't stop picturing Marlon Brando trying to sing underwater with a mouth full of cotton while Sleep Token plays in the background.

Someone needs to make that a music video.
