Yeah the potential would still be there. It seems like for now, however, we're just getting a stint of old heads coming back as users and semi-active users stepping up more like contributors, even if the site activity is noticeably halved with the loss of 19 members that were a decent portion of the sites haul. In any case I'm gonna try to ramp it up a bit more with writing/blog ideas but I can't make any promises for myself lol

countless dev and security features would need to be updated as well or else new problems will arise left and right (remember a few weeks back when adding a new artist broke your account?) and any new members will leave as quickly as they came

mx is an associate professor of government at dartmouth rn, I doubt the ad revenue from this site remotely compares to any other income he gets. He's keeping the lights on as a favor, not for revenue



yeah I just looked at his resume (it is on his public website), that combined with the response he gave to people reaching out to him directly about the state of the site (the response to which was more or less "fuck off"), he really just doesn't give a shit about this site

lol was gonna say, haven't seen you in years ian. sounds like a bunch of staff gave an ultimatum to the mods, their fellow staffer was not reinstated, and so 20+ writers left in solidarity. but also this website is terribly broken and people haven't been able to make new accounts for like 2 years now.
