How did these guys manage to pull off a guitar solo and make it the most epic thing ever conceived?

Album has two songs that are around 10 minutes, is an hour long, has tons of guitar solos, and I never once wondered if it was prog metal. That's about as good of a compliment I can give a record. It just organically calls for all those things, and they all land perfectly, without a hint of being over the top.

@gravity he's in the conversation, I thought about him, but I don't think he's as good as dudes from Gospel and Funeral Diner personally. Have never heard Love Lost Before or whatever the name was

Well the hype is compelling, I checked this out and I didn’t know what skrams meant before today
My take is the instrumentals are awesome, but the vox are hit and miss. Does he really need to yell 95% of his lines at the absolute top of his lungs on every song? The recording is literally peaking most of the time. I feel relief when they occasionally dive into cleans, though the screaming is good when it’s fitting. I would have liked some more variation.
Maybe skramz are not for me. Will give it some more listens and check back in later.

he's still amazing from Keep You and onwards but he gradually becomes the only interesting thing about the band

But I really like the drummer for this album. That slightly off-tempo beat on No Gospel, the tambourine on Bodega Head. I just wish he goes a little ham on the big crescendos next time

What the hell. This is the best a screamo has ever done for me, except maybe some early envy. Not a skrams dude here. Will hold my horses on a early 5 but its a serious aoty contender.
So many highs. The bm section to the calmest one on Nazar. The 10 min tracks. Clearly branching out here, remaining the skramz vocals.
