Ozzy was so much more suited to Sabbath. Dio is obviously a great singer but they had to change their sound (for the worse if you ask me) in order for his vocal style to fit.

Of course Ozzy was perfect for Parnoid and Master of Reality, I'm just saying Dio is a superior vocalist for his range and power alone.

He's a superior vocalist technically yes without a doubt but Ozzy was the better vocalist for Sabbath. I mean Dio is part of the reason why for me this and Mob Rules will never touch the band's first six albums. This just isn't the real Sabbath to me.

And I thought people were more detracted from Dio's lyrical themes on this and Mob Rules.

Don't get me wrong it's not the vocals themselves that are the problem, it's the change in style that they inspired/necessitated.
And this is still really good for what it is, even though I haven't jammed it in years to my recollection.

agreed with jamie, technically and out of context dio is probably better than ozzy, but vor sabbath's sound and essence, ozzy was the best

Definitely but back then Dio revived Sabbath. If Ozzy had stayed with the band they'd probably continue releasing mediocre material. And he's not bad at singing Ozzy's stuff live most of the times.
