I'm so glad everyone digs it as much as I have. Feel like I'm on an island with Mimsy when it comes to modern ABR sometimes lol

wow new one is amazing. legit might be my second favorite. super tight and focused. forged by failure is nuts.

LFG. I think it's front to back solid. Ironically my least favorites are Sonic Salvation and Cerebral Malfunction cause they're the most ABR-by-the-numbers for me with limited spice. The rest are all awesome

On my first listen and yeah this rips. There is a fine line between "ABR phoning it again" and "ABR doing what they do best" but this is leaning towards the latter.

Den of Thieves is so good

Gonna say right now, second half of the new album smokes the first.

S.O.S. into New Horizons is their best one two punch in a long time

Hate to say it, but I think the new one is devoid of any truly outstanding moments.

That being said, still the best since FIFAP.

Depends on what tickles your pickle. Legions, Nameless, Den, Whispers, SOS, and Horizons all gave me something I really loved

i actually think the first half clears because of the heaviness, but all through front to bottom super consistent. closing duo is phenomenal. behemoth, legion and the nameless go so hard.

Agree I prefer the first half but the back has room to grow

Ending to Legions was an easy standout for me

"Are their other albums worth checking if I didn't vibe w Leveler? Don't really seek this type of core but ABR objectively has chops"

For sure check out Rescue and Restore and maybe Death Below. The latter has some bm influence on some songs

i wish mike had a longer feature. his voice is so shot but i like that kind of strained tone.

It'd be nice hearing him with a band that doesn't suck lol

New one, on first impressions at least, is their best they've done since Rescue & Restore. Definitely one of their heaviest.
