Glad you enjoyed it more on second listen, Jester. Sorry that it didn't connect with you that much man, I'm fucking beyond obsessed with this right now lol. I've only stopped listening to this in the past few days to either jam Rolo Tomassi or other Meshuggah albums. obZen and catch 33 are prob my two favorites by like any band so those standards are basically impossible for me, but this is still in that tier imo.



Ligature Marks is one of the heaviest songs I've heard in a while, prob my favorite one here tbh but Faultless and Armies are both damn close.

I will say I do probably like Clockworks than any individual song on here (and Stifled is also one of my faves) but overall, I think the consistency of this album crushes Violent Sleep

Clockworks alone is like top 5 or 3 Shugg song, the highs on Violent are almost at an unfair level of reach, and it wasn't possible for me to find something of that caliber here, overall i feel like Violent might have a slight advantage only for that
