Just bumped my rating, this has become my latest "album I listen to when I'm not sure what I want to listen to" and it's holding up very nicely

I love how not hyped I was for this. Never heard of these guys, completely came out of nowhere and blew me away.

>Loved the thick guitar tone on Mutual Ruin.

Yessss. What is that? Like, the lead guitar on top of the others, I can only describe it as "CKY tone". Specific tuning and distortion that just makes me think CKY. I love it.

I can see people needing to warm up to her harsh vox. There's an airy screechiness to it that's very black-metally. What saves it I think is her ability to express herself with it....it's not the most dynamic thing in the world but it's also way less monotonous than I've heard employed by other vocalists.

Yeah there isn't much variety at all in her screams, but for me it hits the right spot every time so I don't really care

"but its glittery epics strayed far enough towards overt corniness to raise questions over what heaps of critical acclaim would incentivise from the band’s future direction. Time Will Die…’s palpably sincere inspirations may shrug off these kinds of misgivings, but they don’t invite excessive reheating - yet neither are their dividends to be thrown out."
