Talking to this girl yesterday, told her I liked metal. Says she doesn't really like metal (pretty fucking standard), but she does like this one band called "Opith". Good enough for me. Only song I can't really get into on this album is White Cluster. I guess by the end of the album I'm just kinda worn out by it all.

My fave is To Bid you Farewell. Followed by Blackwater Park. 3rd is definitely up for grabs, and maybe even second if White Clust can convince me.

There's really no reason for the first four minutes of The Moor to be the same riff. Song is one of Opeth's best after that, though.

but the Moor's intro is one of the best parts.....
it is pretty long but it's so good

It's the same fucking riff repeated into oblivion though, with only the rhythm section shifting slightly to form predictable periods.

riffs are known to be repeated from time to time
idk I don't really have a problem with it. I'm not saying the intro changed metal but I love it

There isn't enough going on to justify one riff change in the first 3:30 of the song though, in my opinion.

one riff change in the first 3:30 of the song
Are you sure you're talking about The Moor? It doesn't sound like you are.
And yeah, best intro ever (on an Opeth album).
