I'm cool with drum machines as long as they don't sound overly cheap or unnatural. Catch 33, Ziltoid, the Nothing re-release, and Onset (three of those using the Drumkit from Hell) are perfect examples of albums that use them well. As for ones that use them poorly... well, just listen to any late 90s or early 2000s industrial metal that sounds dated as hell
