Been following this band from the beginning brother. Such a Agalloch knock off it's not even a debate. I will say each album has gotten better.

same here dude m/ they play that bergtatt inspired romantic metal agreed, but I would hardly call them an Agalloch knock off. Maybe there were some similarities on HWAHO, I can see that, but since that they have gone their own way. Their songwriting is more adventurous and complex than Agalloch ever was (maybe on Serpent), but if you can't dig the natural production then IDK dude, to my ears it sounds wonderful.

Analog. Ugh. I will keep an open mind.

lol I don't know if that's sincere but the only Fen I ever enjoyed was their first EP, Ancient Sorrow. Nothing else has really clicked since, but like Krallice I keep trying and will continue to try cause I know I must be missing something.

100% disagree about their songwriting being more adventurous and complex than Agalloch, as much as I love this album.

I see adventurous as meaning FoR seem to have more fun and be more ambitious with their music.



If it wasn't a huge troll statement, I would say it's objectively, measurably, better songwriting. But it is, so I wont.
