Seriously close to a 4.5. A couple more listens and it's easily got the potential. Songs like Colossus, Danny Nedelko, June, Samaritans, and Television go so hard.

There's some good stuff on here, hoping the instrumentation grows on me because I really dig their sense of humour. It's very direct at times but it works, unlike latter-day FotL they haven't buried all sense of obvious meaning underneath obscure metaphors & I appreciate the more optimistic feel (it is mocking, but in a fun & slightly more optimistic way).

Yeah it joins Rolo Tomassi, Skeletonwitch, Tropical Fuck Storm & of Montreal as my only 4/5s this year. This one just resonates with me, the songs are good but if this wasn’t a bunch of British lads shouting about stuff I care about there’s no way it’d get a 4/5, haha

of Montreal made a 2.5 for me but maybe I haven't looked into it deep enough. The others are also 4's for me, except for Tropical Fuck Storm that gets that extra .5 only because of the group's name.
