Fossora is every bit as engulfing and unique as this. I'm totally in love with it, which is as predictable as the sun goes down lol.
I genuinely love everything Bjork has done, but now with Biophilia through to Fossora, I honestly feel that new Bjork > old Bjork.

"to say she’s attempting to be “artsy” for the sake of it or that she’s uninspired (basically implying she’s just in it for the money)"
not the implication here and idk how you inferred that

if a famous artist is not inspired by the process of creating music then they really have nothing to make music for except money or some other sense of obligation. maybe just saying money is too specific but my point is nobody here actually knows Bjork and very few have taken the time to actually hear or read what she has to say about this album so speaking about her motives behind her music contributes nothing to the discussion and it's just a way for people to pass off their personal dislike of the way her new stuff sounds onto her

wow it's almost like I'm literally saying that I wish people would just critique her music in musical terms instead of making assumptions about her and I already explicitly stated that and the made up example you just provided is exactly what I'm asking for more of

maybe, like---and this is purely a hypothetical---maybe it's possible to say that inspite of an artist literally being inspired by something when making music, the thing which inspires them feels an uninspired choice. like as in not everything that has inspired someone is a compelling source of inspiration to others. dunno what your semantic flexibility is like, heard your sister's pretty flexible tho

usually it takes a little more than asking for more thoughtful musical critique for a sput user to completely debase themselves like that but if lowering yourself to pots-tier spite and saltiness to impress gyromania and doof of all users is the legacy you want to leave you are more than welcome to do so, lord knows your 48 reviews and list spam aren't doing much for you

given the levels of seething rage that "hey guys let's maybe critique this musical album for the music contained on it" incurs in jasdevil it's hard to gauge what the best tactic is

i'm sorry but how is me calling something dull and sounding uninspired not a critique of the music? you want me to dissect every instrument and synth/drum machine/w.e being used and explain in musical notation why i think it's bad?

I'm just saying that calling something "artsy for the sake of being artsy" is a lazy and clearly untrue critique to anyone who does even a tiny bit of research on the album
"you want me to dissect every instrument and synth/drum machine/w.e being used and explain in musical notation why i think it's bad?"
we've seen you attempt this already and it's not pretty, maybe just stick to that other thing you do

ah yes, objectively artsy. myb i didn't read the lyrics to know.
i've attempted to dissect the music? my point is you shouldn't be such a pedantic douche all the time and fly off the deep end when someone says something sounds uninspired to them. "NO ITS NOT I'LL HAVE U KNOW SHE WAS SUPER INSPIRED!"

flying off the deep end would be like, mentioning someone's family because they encourage more thoughtful musical critique, or saying that women who get abortions deserve to be hanged for it. lmk if you need some sources on that, I'll hook you up
