Don't get me wrong, I like Riot, but compared to everything after it, they were obviously still tightening their sound and testing new ground. It's a less realized version of BNE

To me Riot is kinda juvenile, BNE perfected and bettered that sound - it was the culmination/peak of their pop-punk phase.
