Eh it feels wrong to cherrypick fans and only welcome those who are deep within their discog. If someone is only a little bit in and digs their singles and sone stuff casually... Why reject them? Ppl enjoy Gorillaz and any other band in different ways.

yea, but Gorillaz isn't about staying in the same place, or going back to an older sound. It's not who they are in the core.
I don't mind the casual listener or the guy that digs the singles and not much else, but the self proclaimed 'fans' that are not up for the expreiment and feel somehow betrayed like... Dude, THIS is Gorillaz, every record is gonna be a world on its own, that's the good part about it?
I don't get those people.
