Always seems to help to find things you're passionate about, positively or negatively; the worst albums to write about are the average, middle-of-the-road types. Starting out small or with something you know intimately helps too. I think your style could get a bit wordy but it had an engaging quality to it, so I hope you keep up with it.
I get wordy all the time too so take that with a grain of salt lol. Feeling better these days?

This has memorable melodies out the wazoo. Equipoise have various riffs that lack the same staying power. There are multiple passages that reoccur here like the central guitar off "Dasein" which are catchy as fuck.

Fair enough. I have to admit I'm a bit worried it will suffer from same case as Inferi's Revenant which stood out a lot on the few first listens but didn't last long. Gotta wait for the high-quality version to decide. 3.5 seems very low for being from you though

Did some deliberation and soul-searching, couldn't find it in me to rate it higher. That shred-heavy tech is starting to weigh down on me. Still quite hopeful for new Vale of Pnath, but there again is a group that has replay value, not just skill.
