he's been okay as a reliever. they couldn't decide if he was a starter or not until last year.

in 47 innings as a reliever, he had a 5.55 ERA last year. 2.96 FIP and 3.47 xFIP suggest better results on the horizon, but we'll see.

ERA isn't the best stat to go by for relievers. his k/bb ratio was very impressive and i remember him getting out of some huge jams. he should be a good middle reliever going forward.
still not happy with losing robbie ray in that trade.
