i always say mein and pink cellphone are my fav tones songs and altho i do legitimately like them i mostly just say that to piss off the tonesfags but like

xerxes and cherry waves are just fucking really beautiful songs

same with beware and riviere

Moana is awesome, but I find it un-gratifying, especially considering how much I like the rest of the album. MX is great, I just wish they hadn't put 30 minutes of silence in between the end of it and the start of Damone.



What Happened To You is in a similar boat to Moana for me, cool song but "anti-gratifying" as a closer. should've been in the middle of the album.



This Place Is Death is definitely the worst on Diamond Eyes. I like that album a lot (especially Butcher, Royal, Prince and Risk) but the overly-slick production holds it back, compared with their first 4 albums.



you're forgetting Fist, which is one of the cooler songs on Adrenaline. but yeah, overall their rep for having awesome closers is way overblown. one of my favorite bands, but mastering the art of ending an album they have not.

i honestly think what makes SNW the best tones album by far is the fact that they just chilled the fuck out and stopped trying to be fucking edgy for once and just made a bunch of really pretty and evocative songs instead of bird-gay sterile crunchy shit-wanks

I always really liked mascara from ATF

i honestly really do love Mein that song is sporty as fuck

love chinos vocals on it and the drums are super dope

and serj's part is really gratifying and suiting
