Their best since CHz for sure

I've only heard half of it, and I wasn't paying close attention, and I already feel confident that it's their best since Fall Be Kind

C'mon, it's not that bad.
Spilling Guts and Summing the Wretch might be their worst songs, though.
I do like a good portion of this, 3.0 might be in my near future.

Both those just drive me up the wall whenever I hear them, could just be me. So repetitive.
But I can somehow stomach everything else on this, weird.

The vibe of most of this album is “mindless fun” which is exactly what I need rn. I would love to drive up a wall with you losing our minds, Sandwich.

Probably the 400th time someone's said this, but it really does have an early-90s nickelodeon energy, so I get it.
The first half, plus Bagels in Kiev, are pretty good.

The longer time goes on and the more projects they drop, the more I realize how off the initial reception to Centipede Hz truly was. I'll take a burrito to the windshield over this stuff any day of the week.

While I still want to generally punch this album in the face, it definitely has benefitted from time and subsequent releases. Knowing that this is their only venture into this particular brand of caffeine-pop, I can stomach it. I think I wasn't alone in not only disliking what I was hearing back in 2016, but more fearing of this is where things were headed. A weird spell of silence, solo records, and a couple of textural, mostly instrumental records preceded the twin release of the two newest albums making this one ultimately...pretty listenable, and sometimes enjoyable (the tagalong EP makes it even better)

and yeah, a full 15 months later @LilLioness, but yeah I've always thought Centipede Hz is great. Another one that benefits from the later realization that it's the only one of its kind
