I'm just watching the Ghost Of Perdition live at Rock Hard Festival 2017 and damn that is a depressing performance. Mikael's growls are shot and he looks/sounds utterly bored by that material.

The vox were definitely the lowest point when watching them live last year, it was almost comical the way he stood there hands behind his back in just about the least metal way possible but then delivers these (generic) low-end death growls, almost like someone pressed a button & out they came.



Technically they weren't terrible, but visually the delivery looked all wrong. He clearly doesn’t have the desire for that side of their sound anymore. After a while I tried not looking at him during those parts, it really helped the immersion, haha.
